ℭ in the evergreen valleys of Appenzell, Switzerland, there is a school. A boarding school for young people hailing from across the continent, the Crowthorne Academy is a renowned institution. Academics in a dramatic mountain scenery make quite a statement, but Crowthorne is well-known for its stables: the home of the Crowthorne Clydesdales. Marlenne Tresch, the daughter of the school's previous headmistress, stepped away from teaching to continue the equestrian legacy of the Academy. The stables are considered a separate institution from the school, but it is not uncommon to find students tossing carrots over the fenceline or helping to clean stalls. And don't miss each year's graduation ceremony, where students arrive by a coach pulled by Clydesdale.
